Frustration Doesn't Even Begin To Describe....

Hubby and I are lying in bed around 5:00 this morning. I’m in that half awake, half asleep mode and he's sitting up in bed watching the news when the power goes out.

My first thought was that the bill didn’t get paid so I turn to Hubby and ask him just that. He wasn’t pleased that I asked him that but I did find out that the bill wasn’t even due yet so that wasn’t the issue. The next thought was that maybe someone hit a pole somewhere and knocked the power out.

Since my day wasn’t starting off at the very best, I rolled over and went back to sleep. When I woke up, the power still wasn’t on. Lovely.....No shower, no fixing the hair, had to put makeup on sitting beside the window and I had to hunt down a bottle of water so I could brush my teeth and get my mouth rinsed out.

This is a great way to start out the day……….NOT.

I started my day with an instant attitude. I shouldn’t have had one since there isn’t a damn thing I can do about the power being out but there it was anyway but what can one do. Ride the wave of irritation.

The day didn’t get any better when my daughter called about 8:30 and said the power still wasn’t back on. I called the power company to report it being out and within a few minutes a repairman called wanting to know if anyone was at home. He would need to get them to check something. Since my daughter was home, she would be able to help him over the phone.

This told me that it was something about OUR house and not a widespread issue.

Great….just lovely…

Anyway….the repair guy ends up having to go out to the house to see what’s going on. He gets the power back on but tells my daughter that the main box on the outside of the house is bad and needs to be replaced and that this is something that the power company doesn’t do, we would need to call an electrician.

The guy left and everything seemed to be going good for a few minutes….until my daughter called Hubby and told him that it smelled like wires burning. He had her shut off all power to the house and leave it off.

It’s now 2:30pm.................No power……No money………No electrician…….PLENTY of frustration!!!!!

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all!!! I'm not sure what I have done in my life to deserve such shit but it never fails. Just when things start to turn around, SOMETHING pops up out of the blue and knocks it all back down again

It's getting really hard to keep my sense of humor about such things even though I know deep down, it's beyond my control. All I can do is deal with it but damn......I get tired of dealing sometimes.

We just forked out a small fortune to reserve a house at the beach for vacation, now this will probably cost an a arm and a leg to get fixed and right now, I'm already down one arm and an ankle. I don't have many more body parts left but I sure will be glad when I can sink my toes in some sand. Right now, hitting the beach is the only thing that keeps me going

 Sybil's Pissed........"F" Word usage below....

What happens to boys once they hit 16? Does every drop of blood leave their brain and go to straight to their fucking dick? Is this the way it works? Can they think of NOTHING else or do they just get really fucking confused and dumber than shit?????

Since my son has turned 16, which has only been a couple of months ago, his mind has not been where it's supposed to be...ok...let me rephrase that......he's gone stupid. He all of a sudden thinks that he doesn't need to do what is expected of him and what is right

Last week I got a call from his math teacher telling me that he didn't turn in his math project and there would be points taken off daily until it was turned in. Needless to say, the math project was done the same night as the phone call I thought I was going to half to beg someone for a blood pressure pill but the damn project got done

I got a call earlier today from the principal Of all the people in the whole fucking school to get a call from, I get the privilege of getting the head of the school Well isn't that just fucking special.

For whatever fucked up reason, he thinks he is above and beyond all the other kids that have to dress out in PE class. He thinks he doesn't have to obey the teacher's rules and instructions I'm not quite sure when he fell and bumped his big ass head but that is apparently exactly what he has done if he thinks he can just do as he pleases and not obey the rules and the teacher

If you cannot tell, I am angry!!! I am tears rolling angry!!! I am pissed!!! I am very frustrated and I am embarrassed by my son's behavior.

I now know why the school calls parents at work. At first I thought it was just to fuck up their day and maybe get a little pleasure out of it but NOW...I don't think that's the case at all. They call parents at work to give them the bad news so they'll have a few hours to calm down before they get home and they won't kill their kid!!! THAT'S why they call!!!

On a Good Ship Lolli Pop....

I have a small bowl on my desk that sits between the keyboard and the computer screen where I keep candies, mints, etc. For the past two weeks, I've had a whole bag of cough drops in it and a about 6 or 8 starlite mints. I think I ate, MAYBE, and I'm stretching that maybe way out, one cough drop and none of the mints.

I came in on Monday and noticed that there were only TWO cough drops left and NO mints.

What the hell??????

As far as I know, we don't have elves coming in to make our shoes over the weekend but there is a cleaning crew that comes in. So......that leaves me to think that the cleaning crew or someone on the cleaning crew helped themselves to my cough drops and mints.

I don't know about anyone else, but if I saw some candies sitting in a bowl on a person's desk, I wouldn't just help myself. Even if it is out in the open. I have a shot glass sitting on my desk too that I keep change in, why not take that too if they think they can just help themselves to anything that's on my desk.

Anyway, it's not that I'm heartbroke over the cough drops or the mints. It's the fact that it didn't belong to them and they helped themselves and on top of that they helped themselves to just about ALL of it They were nice enough to leave me TWO whole cough drops though

As it sits today, there are still the same two cough drops in there and 3 mints that I dropped in there today.

Wonder if I'll blow my karma all to hell if uwrap each candy, give it a good lick, wrap it back up and put it back in the bowl

 Ooopsss.......

My youngest daughter had her first (and hopefully only) incident while driving. Luckily, we were very close to home.

The driveway

She went to pull out of the driveway and didn't quite make it like she was supposed to so the mailbox did a slide by down the side of the truck It put a nice white stripe (on a blue truck) down the side almost the length of the bed.

She kept apologizing and saying she was never going to drive again but we both know that was just runoff of the mouth.

In the end, the paint came off but there is a faint scratch all the way down the side of the truck but it's better than the glowing white stripe that was there and at least it was just a mailbox and she did leave the mailbox standing so all was not lost

If that's all she ever does while driving then she's already done better than I have
