Thanksgiving was uneventful...which is a good thing
The rest of the days off didn't go so well.
Friday morning, my youngest daughter had just walked into the living room wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
Me: "Girlfriend, you really need some sunshine on those legs"
Daughter: (Busted into tears)
Me:

I'm just kidding. I'm sorry.
Daughter: (Tries to smile but continues to cry harder)
Me: "What's wrong?
Daughter: "Me and N broke up"
Me:
And so went my weekend. I spent the next few days trying to make a broken heart feel better

and silently wishing that is was my oldest daughter's BF that broke up with her

Not that I was wishing heartbreak on my oldest but just wanting her out of a bad relationship

I was cursing the fates that may be for this turn of events and I know it was wrong of me to do so but be that as it may, it is what it is
Friday and Saturday, the daughter with the broken heart, cried buckets almost all day for both days. It was so much easier when they were little and they'd get a "boo-boo". A bandaid, kiss and lollipop would cure what ailed them for the most part but no such luck at this age. There just isn't a bandaid big enough to mend a broken heart

.
Saturday night, my oldest daughter got home at 1am and had sad news of her own. A friend of hers had been killed in a car accident Friday night

. She had just found out late Saturday night. We sat up until 4am talking. Another broken heart

.
Sunday dawned a little brighter for both girls. My youngest with the BF broken heart, was seeing things a little clearer and the light at the end of the tunnel was a little closer. The BF agreed to at least talk about their issues which is a good start for possibly mending the relationship. Oldest daughter had work to keep her mind busy but still felt the sorrow.
Sunday evening, around 9:30-10pm, my son walks in the house and informs us that someone was just walking across our yard

. After a few minutes of getting the story out of him, Hubby and son go outside trying to find out what was going on. No one was there. Long story short....Son saw a man/person in the yard standing beside Hubby's truck then started walking towards the shed. Son thought it was Hubby at first until he didn't see any lights come on in the shed. Son came in the house and saw Hubby in pj's on the couch and new then that it wasn't Hubby. Cops were called, nothing found missing, no much to do about anything

Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep last night
It's the start of a new week so I'm hoping that things will go better
