 Home

Over the weekend, hubby and I got some really great news.

We have paid off our house!!! Yayyyyyy!!!!

Now, this news came as a surprise to us because November of 2007 was to be our last payment, so we were really floored when we got the call that said "You're loan is paid in full as of this month"

Wow!!! What a relief to finally say that we really do OWN our little corner of the world!!!

Some might be asking where that extra money will be going every month

COLLEGE BABY!!!!!!

So we trade one payment for another .............but such is life!!

 Drunk Much...

A man and his wife are awakened at 3 o'clock in the morning by a loud pounding on the door.

The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.

"Not a chance," says the husband, "it is 3 o'clock in the morning!"

He slams the door and returns to bed.

“Who was that?" asked his wife.

"Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers.

"Did you help him?" she asks.

"No, I did not! It's 3 o'clock in the morning and it is pouring out there!"

"Well, you have a short memory," says his wife. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down and those two guys helped us?

I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!"

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain.

He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"

"Yes" comes back the answer.

"Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband.

"Yes, Please!" comes the reply from the dark.

"Where are you?" asks the husband.

"Over here on the swing!" replies the drunk.

 Trust...

I’ve been with my husband since high school and have never been unfaithful to him at ANY TIME in our relationship . Although, I am human and I have done things that I am not proud of . Anything that I have done that has caused him to lose trust in me I have been completely honest with him about. Not that this makes it better for him, I'm sure. But there comes a time when you have to go one way or the other. Either you will trust someone or you won't. To me there is no middle ground.

Trust has always been an issue for him. Although, he would disagree with me about that. He says he does trust me. I have never really believed that he completely trusts me; and it doesn’t show in his actions. I have my own theories as to why he has trust issues and I’ve been trying for 20 years to help him with it but I am exhausted !!

I don't know what else to do . At this point I’m not even sure if it’s worth discussing or trying anymore. It’s the same old questions with the same old answers every time this topic pops up.

Get over it already!!

 New York

We made it back from New York...safe and sound .  Not that I didn't think we wouldn't.

Actually I think I had more fun than my daughter did and I wasn't looking forward to going at all.

I was surprised by the amount of people in the city.  I knew it was crowded but I guess I didn't realize how crowded it actually is.  The number of foreign languages spoken throughout the day was amazing

The people there weren't outright rude, but they aren't friendly either.  It's more like they just go about their business and don't have time for anything else .  This is so different than where I live that I found it amusing .  We generally can't leave the house without stopping at some point and talking to someone.

The smells were not all that different but they were.  I know that doesn't make sense.  The exhaust fumes were terrible .  Very strong.  The smell of food cooking was nice...until you inhaled a big lung full of fumes !

We walked SO much on Friday that I thought my legs were going to fall off . We didn't really do much sightseeing...mainly walking and shopping. All in all...it turned out pretty good. I would like to go back when I have more time and can take the time to actually see some of the sights
