Yep....that's right. There's a new driver in my area
My youngest daughter FINALLY got her driver's license!!!
As of last Thursday, she's a legal solo driver. I didn't think the day would ever come and now it's here.
Now, I want to know WHY.....WHY....just WHY was I in such an all fire hurry to put her on my insurance?????? I must have fell and bumped my head
After the first intial shock from the amount, which knocked my socks off
I realized that "Hey, this is what I've been pushing for two years. Drive...drive....drive." No need to belly ache now
We do need to get her something to drive though. She's only been solo once. That was Saturday night. She took my truck and me and my oldest daughter took Hubby's truck. He wasn't liking that too much since that left him and my son at home with no transportation
Although, he did get the 4wheeler key out of his truck before I left
Anyway.....my 'driving' daughter is as picky about what she wants to drive as she is about what she wears. Which kills me because she only wears T-shirts and jeans but they have to be a CERTAIN t-shirt and a CERTAIN pair of jeans
This is proving to be the same with what she's WANTING to drive
She's told us from day one that she doesn't want to drive a car and quite frankly she scares the daylights out of me when she drives one. She handles a truck MUCH better. I guess it's because that's all she's had to drive but either way, she's wanting to drive a truck.
Now the truck isn't that big of an issue. I know where she's coming from. I'd rather get behind the wheel of a truck myself. She's just got to learn not to be so damn picky about what type of truck
We saw a couple the other day that were decent trucks and would work for what we're looking to spend. Two were Dodge's and one was a Toyota. She liked both but didn't get overly excited about either one.
Later on we find out that while the Dodge's and the Toyota are OK trucks in her mind....it's really a FORD she's wanting
WTF difference does it make is MY question
We wanted to get her a car to begin with because of insurance and gas prices but NOooooo...she doesn't want any part of THAT
So we made a deal with her. We help her get a decent USED truck and she pays the insurance and gas. I cannot afford gas and insurance for THREE trucks......good God, I don't make THAT kind of money
So I think I have found the perfect deal for all concerned.............

Hey.........she wasn't specfic about what YEAR or running condition
First of all, congrats to your daughter on getting her license!
Personally, me thinks she'll love that truck!
Other than the cost factor, I don't know who's more excited...me or her
Yeah, I might want to RUN if I came home with that truck
She missed the good student discount by a hair
I would LOVE her face if that truck was brought home for her
A real fixer upper huh?
As of right now, I'm not doing much of anything in the truck shopping department
