 Lost Luck and Skinned Knees
Back to Full Blog

I know I've said this before......but.....I really don't know what I've done to deserve such crappy luck

We leave for the beach in three days and the Dodge picked THIS time to screw up. Apparently there is a broken U-joint that needs to be replaced so we dropped it off last night to get fixed. I can't help but wonder if Randy put a curse on it by mentioning the truck breaking down last year ......Just kidding, Randy. This is just my shitty luck and I am not at all surprised at the turn of events. If we were to EVER plan something and it go smoothly, I'd probably keel over from shock

Aside from the Dodge spending a day or two with the 'doctor', I get to drive Hubby's truck which has NO a/c and it's only supposed to be in the upper 90's for the rest of the week Joy upon joy....does it get any better than this

I suppose the only thing left for me to do to top of the week as it's going is to oblige my husband's prediction that I will fall and skin my knees before we go to the beach

Hi Sybil...just reading over your last few blogs...First I want to say congratulations on your daughter's graduation...That is an accomplishment on both ends...for now days..not too many kids even do that...so a big applause to her and you...Smile..
And hey..nothing wrong with venting...Kids are kids..even the best of kids are going to rattle the nerves sometimes lol...I know I live in a house of guys lol..good guys but sometimes I could just run for my life lol lol...
Oh and don't let the few obstacles bring you down...you'll get to your destination...sometimes those things happen for a reason...better for that truck to break before you leave than to break while on the road...
Well...I wish you much fun and a safe trip...
Smiles for you..

The vehicles always seem to break down at the worst times - not that there is a good time, but you know what I mean. Hopefully it won't be an expensive fix. It'll get better for you.

Congrats on the graduation too!

Hi SammyJo

Thank you for the congratulations!! I do feel as though I've accomplished a hurdle with both of my girls graduating. Like you said, there's a lot of kids that don't make it that far. Some of my girls friends didn't make it that far, so yep......I'm a very proud parent I take the college thing one day at a time. They have to make their own way in the world and the only thing I can do is TRY to push them in the right direction and hope for the best

Venting IS the only way I keep my head sometimes when it comes to my kids and I'm sure that's one thing that won't change much, even when they're not living at home

You may be on to something about things happening for a reason. We found out that not only did the U-joint need replacing but the brakes were shot too so at least now, we KNOW we'll be riding safe so I guess things really do happen for a reason.

I only wish GOOD things would happen more often

I can almost guarantee that SOMETHING will go wrong with a vehicle when it comes to us taking a trip. It almost ALWAYS happens but even though I complain, I've kind of learned to take it in stride and realize that there isn't much I can do about it. It just makes me look forward to getting away even MORE

Thank you for the congratulations!!!!

Pyzam Glitter Text Maker

Seems them damn vehicles always break down at the most inconvenient times. Mine always used to break down when I was getting money back on my taxes so that's usually where a lot of my money went.
